Big dream. Act Small. Daily. How to Get Better the Easy Way!

Dream big—really big.
Imagine who you want to become and the life you want to live. Dreaming big costs nothing extra, but it does take courage. And bringing that dream to life is up to you.

Big dreams move forward only through action.

That’s where the simple part comes in: act small.
Create a plan for your big dream, then commit to the small actions that support it every day. Progress doesn’t come from occasional heroic efforts. It comes from consistent, sometimes ordinary discipline. Big results are built from small wins repeated over time.  Doing the physical work to make sure your body can do what you are asking it to do, developing the mental skills that will help you become vulnerable enough to develop a growth mindset. Are you measuring your progress through regular Player Development Index Assessments, holding yourself and coaches accountable to your progress.

Think about NASA’s Artemis II mission. The launch may be spectacular, but it represents years of preparation—training, testing, and repetition. Astronauts earn their seat through relentless attention to details most people never see. The big moment depends on thousands of small ones done right.

Your goals work the same way.

Many, like Steve Jobs believed excellence lives in the details, even the ones no one noticed. That mindset shaped products that didn’t just work, changed expectations. When every piece is built with care, people feel it.

No matter your dream—athlete, entrepreneur, leader, professional, or something entirely your own—it comes down to this:

Are you doing small things intentionally every day?

Create your plan. Work your plan. Stay disciplined, patient, and persistent. Let passion carry you through the hard days. When you do, your big dream doesn’t fade—it becomes real.

PS: Dreams don’t expire.

Enjoy the journey.— Roger
