For the golf industry, this week Is the biggest week in golf! It is the pilgrimage of golf professionals from all over the world to Orlando, Florida to network with fellow professionals, sports performance specialists, innovators, vendors and media. It is also a time of learning, what works and doesn’t work for companies. In other words, everyone that comes to the “show” feels connected to a bigger universe of golf junkies!
What can you learn about my experience at the 2020 PGA Merchandise Show? In general, everyone who comes has a vested interest in keeping the game healthy and growing, for themselves and those who may follow in their footsteps. With my time being taken by meetings and entertaining, this week’s article has suffered, however, I would like to share with you this thought. As I have gotten a little older I have come to realize how small the world is becoming. Golf has been able to minimize the degrees in separation of people around the world. As massive as the world is, I find that now there is no more than 5 degrees of separation to almost anywhere in the world now! Amazing!

Golf is a great game, not because of the competitive nature (although I REALLY like competition) but because it can connect you with people from all around the globe with amazingly different cultures. The legendary Arnold Palmer sums it up perfectly; “Golf is so much like life; so deceptively simple, and endlessly complicated, satisfying the soul while torturing the intellect, at the same time rewarding and maddening and is without a doubt the greatest game mankind has ever invented!”
Enjoy Your Journey!
PS: This is the time to connect with GPC Custom Clubs to see and hear all about the new equipment hitting the streets in 2020!!
