About The GPC

Located in Ridgefield, CT, the Golf Performance Center is the Northeast’s leading full-time golf training academy for athletes of all ages and skill levels.

Our goal is to provide valued instruction, guidance and the necessary facilities to develop junior athletes, both physically and mentally, to successfully navigate challenges on the journey to competitive golf.

We offer programs for K-12 and collegiate athletes, as well as for mature golfers who desire to improve and transform their game.

Now open – our NEW residential campus for scholar athletes and summer campers. The campus offers a state of the art residence hall, classrooms, a dining hall, lounge and beautiful walking paths.

WHAT WE HAVE ACHIEVED

For over 20 years GPC has successfully helped nearly 100 athletes compete at over 80 different colleges and universities, and with multiple NCAA All-Americans, hundreds of junior golf wins from the AJGA, Hurricane Junior Golf Tour, Junior PGA, Future Collegiate Junior Tour, NY State Junior, CT Junior, Northeast Amateur, Planters, Walker Cup, USGA, US Kids Junior Tour and professional wins on PGA Tour Web.com, PGA Tour Canada, European, and PGA of America.

THE FACILITY

The Golf Performance Center in Ridgefield, CT integrates state of the art training facilities and expert coaching to help athletes reach their goals. Beginning with the unique “5 Elements of Success” Evaluation, our golf academy delivers customized golf instruction designed to provide aspiring athletes with improvement strategies for long term success.

Putting Studio

The GPC Putting Studio offers one of the finest putting experiences in the Northeast:
It’s fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology including:

  • Quintic Ball Roll – one of only three Quintic accredited putting centers in New England
  • SAM PuttLab
  • V1 5 camera video analysis system
  • Laser alignment system
  • Visio training aids

 

The putting studio is both playground and laboratory for Bill Smittle, Director of Putting and Research. He is  a Class A member of the PGA, Level 2 Putting Solutions certified coach, a Flatstick Academy Level 2  certified coach and Aimpoint green reading certified coach.

Main Campus

Student housing and transportation to/from surrounding communities is available for grades 9 -12. Located on the former Stonehenge property in Ridgefield just 1/4 mile from The Gold Performance Center, the new main campus features two residence halls, a dining hall, classrooms, walking trails and administrative offices.

Junior Golf Hub is an online community that was founded to help players and parents navigate the journey to college golf while helping coaches find top talent. Players create profiles that are searchable by the coaches, ‘Find and Follow’ college golf programs and receive education on the do’s and don’ts of the recruiting process. College coaches can find and filter the top talent they are looking for. Currently, the JGH has 6,000+ junior golfer profiles and 600+ plus college coach profiles and is growing every day through partnerships with the AJGA, Hurricane Junior Golf Tour and 25+ PGA sections. The GPC (Giving Young People a Chance) Foundation strives to make a significant impact on the lives of junior golf athletes by providing resources for academic and athletic training.
