PGA Show: Equipment Finds

PGA Show – Equipment Finds – 1/26/24

The PGA Show is an annual trade event for the golf industry for professionals and golf enthusiasts. It’s a great place to network, see the latest equipment, technology, and golf services. I had the opportunity to attend this event the past couple of days and here are a couple highlights I came home with.

LAB Golf Putters have been a hot topic in the putter world for the past couple of months with victories on the PGA tour so this was a company I wanted to check out and talk to. Their putters have a unique design that promotes a more consistent and accurate putting stroke. The goal with their putters is that it is more stable compared to others which will promote a more consistent putting stroke and in turn help improve speed and start line. They just came out with new models that were released at the show. Check out their website labgolf.com to learn more about their products

Golf shafts. Fujikura has come out with a new Ventus model called Velocore Plus for the woods and driver. I was able to hit this shaft and man, was it solid. The shaft is marketed as an ultra stiff tip section, stiff middle section and a firm handle section which will promote a mid launch/low spin wood shaft. The feel and consistency I felt instantly compared to the prior model. The color and paint job is also very attractive. They also came out with iron shafts called Fujikura Axiom this past year which is a more stable shaft and more predictable than steel. Check out their website fujikuragolf.com to learn more about their products.

Headcovers are also a cool addition to the bag to show your personality. The headcovers I saw at the PGA show were one of a kind. There are many types such as leather, knit, custom logo headcovers, and faux leather covers. Companies such as Winston Collection, Jan Craig, Seamus, Stitch and Tremont would be companies I would start to check out to add some flavor to your bag.
