Tim Keane was born and raised in Stamford, Connecticut. His love of golf
dates back to his childhood days playing Sterling Farms Golf Course, caddying at Wee Burn Country Club
and competing in the Metropolitan PGA Junior Golf Section. During his time at Trinity Catholic High
School, in addition to playing 4 years of varsity hockey, he was a 4-year varsity starter for the golf team.
He was named golf Captain his senior year and earned honor roll status throughout his High School
years.Tim then went on to play D-3 college golf at Endicott College while reaching his goal of maintaining a
high GPA and making dean’s list. After earning his B.A. in Liberal Studies with a Minor in Psychology, Tim
continued his love and passion for the sport of golf and desire to help others be successful. He began
working full time at Wee Burn Country Club as the Golf Shop Professional and Junior Assistant
Professional, and during his time there he coached a PGA Junior Golf League Team leading the 5-12
year-old junior team to many victories. He also spent a lot of time traveling to tournament events,
caddying for and assisting professional golfers in the Metropolitan Golf Section.
Tim is now the Lead Golf Club Technician and Builder at The Golf Performance Center in Ridgefield,
Connecticut. He has an easy going nature that puts both young individuals and older clients at ease. He
builds not only golf clubs, but also strong connections with every individual or athlete he interacts with;
therefore, achieving their maximum effort, results, and enthusiasm for the sport of golf and in life.
Gabe Carr-Harris, PGA
Gabe has been a Golf Professional since 2003 and a PGA Member since 2013. He is finishing his second season here at The Golf Performance Center Custom Clubs. Before GPC, he spent a year at Sleepy Hollow Country Club as the First Assistant Professional. Prior to Sleepy, he spent four seasons at Greenwich Country Club and five seasons at Stonington Country Club, in the same role. He also spent three seasons at Paramount CC and two of those winters at Bears Paw CC in Naples, FL. After studying Professional Golf Management at Arizona State University, he stayed out west for a few years working on his game and competing.
Gabe is a big fan of continuing education in all pillars of golf, and recently spent the winters of 2016-2018 at the #1 Golf School in the country, The Jim McLean Golf School in Miami, Florida. Here he studied under some of the best teachers in the world, while they worked with PGA and LPGA tour players, Web.com, Symetra Tour, and PGA Tour Latinoamerica players, plus top-ranked collegiate and junior golfers. Gabe is now a certified Jim McLean Certified Instructor. Other Teaching & Coaching certifications include The Golf Performance Center, Trackman, BodiTrak, US Kids, & Swing Catalyst. Gabe was named a Top 50 Honorable Mention US Kids Instructor in the country three times (2017, 2018 & 2019), for some of the work he has done with Junior Golf. Gabe credits his continuous quest for improvement to the mentors who have spent time with him.
Gabe was recently named the 2017 Metropolitan Ely Callaway Award Winner, an award given to the Golf Professional in the section for his dedication to education, service, and involvement. He was also a twice member of the Gene Borek Squire Cup Team in 2018 & 2019, which is one of his proudest golf accomplishments. He still serves on the MET PGA Communications Committee and is very involved in the MET PGA Section. Away from golf, Gabe loves spending time with his wife Arley, and their son Colton James. Wally Gonzalez grew up in San Diego, CA where golf was not a popular sport in his family. He grew up playing many sports and eventually stumbled upon The First Tee of San Diego at the age of 12. With the help of the First Tee, he was able to practice, learn, and develop life and golf skills that he still uses today. Wally joined the GPC team in 2015 after graduating from the University of Hartford with a degree in Business Management and Marketing. He was a four-year member and two-time Cleveland/Srixon All-America Scholar of the Hartford Hawks Men’s D-1 Golf Program. Wally is currently certified in Titleist Performance Institute (TPI), Swing Catalyst, SAM PuttLab, K-Motion, and TrackMan and plans to continue learning while he is here. Wally is a part of the Golf Coaching staff as well as the GPC Custom Clubs team. His goal at GPC is to encourage and help junior athletes reach their potential in the game of golf while also keeping it fun.
