Role & Responsibilities: My role is to help develop our academy athletes to their fullest potential. We take their physical tendencies into account to then translate that into their own unique swing for performance. As a Programs Manager, I help our staff deliver on our processes, ensuring customer service & execution.
Past Experience: Former Assistant Golf Professional at Wee Burn Country Club, the current Vice President of the Playground Golf Foundation and former Instructor for the Start to Finish Golf Academy, a US Kids Tour Co-Director, a Branch Manager at Enterprise Rent-A-Car, and a former Division 1 NCAA Collegiate Golfer.

Alex Hume

Alex Hume developed a passion for competitive golf at an early age, competing in tournaments at age 10. In high school, Alex’s desire to play developed into a passion to grow the game and help others improve. He attended Campbell University’s Golf Management program in Buies Creek, NC, where he received a BA in Business Administration. Alex has 12 years of experience throughout six different states, including tournament operations and golf coaching. He has been a member of the PGA since 2012 and joined the GPC team in 2018 as Tournament Director. Alex is excited and dedicated to helping Academy Members reach their goals in both life and the game of golf. In his free time, Alex enjoys traveling, spending time with friends, skiing, motorsports, and of course, golf!

Wally Gonzalez

Wally Gonzalez grew up in San Diego, CA where golf was not a popular sport in his family. He grew up playing many sports and eventually stumbled upon The First Tee of San Diego at the age of 12. With the help of the First Tee, he was able to practice, learn, and develop life and golf skills that he still uses today. Wally joined the GPC team in 2015 after graduating from the University of Hartford with a degree in Business Management and Marketing. He was a four-year member and two-time Cleveland/Srixon All-America Scholar of the Hartford Hawks Men’s D-1 Golf Program. Wally is currently certified in Titleist Performance Institute (TPI), Swing Catalyst, SAM PuttLab, K-Motion, and TrackMan and plans to continue learning while he is here. Wally is a part of the Golf Coaching staff as well as the GPC Custom Clubs team. His goal at GPC is to encourage and help junior athletes reach their potential in the game of golf while also keeping it fun. In his free time, Wally enjoys traveling, hanging out with friends, and spending time with his dog, Bao.

Kyle Panek

Kyle Panek is a certified Sports Performance Enhancement Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and has been helping athletes achieve their performance goals on and off the playing field for over five years. He also holds certifications as a TPI Level One Coach as well as a Precision Nutrition Coach. Kyle attended Elms College in Chicopee, MA where he was a collegiate athlete, competing on the Elms College Golf Team. He grew up in Belchertown, MA playing sports throughout high school and college. Kyle decided to take that passion for sport and become a coach to help athletes feel better, move better and ultimately help athletes perform their best in the gym and on the course! During his off time, Kyle enjoys playing golf, workout sessions of his own and learning more about performance and exercise.
