End of Summer Recharge

As I sit here on the beach down in the Outer Banks, I can’t think of a better way to reset the body from a summer full of travel, hard workouts and the tournament golf season!   

Something about the sand, sun and saltwater to recharge the body! Just swimming in the saltwater can activate the body’s healing mechanisms for localized aches and pains, along with the high magnesium content in the water helps reduce stress and energizes the body, as magnesium is one of the main driver of ATP in the cell, aka energy for your whole body! 

Not only that but the sun provides you with Vitamin D, which almost everyone is deficient in. This is because vitamin D is only truly absorbed from the sun. Getting the proper amount of vitamin D through the sun will provide the body with energy as well as helping your with your circadian rhythm aka falling asleep at a proper time and waking up at the same time! Not only do you get Vitamin D from the sun but it also reduces blood pressure, kills germs from the sunlight and improves the quality of your sleep! 

So if you have any time to take off at the end of your tournament season, do it, recharge and reset as we head into a busy fall golf season and into an offseason full of swing changes and maximal strength gains! Work hard but recover harder! Enjoy the rest of your summer!
