    • Maintain indoor facilities by washing gym towels, general cleaning/vacuuming, and keep things in order.
    • Drive Junior Members to and from pre-determined pick-up/drop-off locations using company vehicles.

We are in search of a few energetic, motivated students looking for experience in sports performance training and implementation of the Long Term Athletic Development model. The Golf Performance Center supports the goals of golf athletes of all ages and skill levels, from the complete beginner to the professional athlete. We believe that the body’s physical function dictates the technique that athlete will use to swing the golf club. We also believe in quantifying an athletes improvement through various testing and evaluations methods. You will gain experience on some of the best technology available to capture information about the athlete’s movement and mechanics while implementing strength and conditioning strategies to improve those mechanics over time.

Responsibilities of this position include supporting and running group training sessions after completion of GPC’s Level 1 Coaches Manual. We are looking for forward thinking, ambitious, eager-to-learn candidates who are excited to make an impact on junior and adult golf athletes through physical performance coaching.

Located in Ridgefield, CT, The Golf Performance Center Academy is the Northeast’s leading full time golf academy for athletes of all ages and skill levels.  Our indoor/outdoor learning center is equipped with state-of-the-art technology including GEARS 3D Motion Capture System, K-Vests, Sam Putt Lab, Swing Catalyst, Zen Putting Platform, two gyms, a challenging nine hole golf course, two practice putting greens, and a practice par three. In addition to our academy, our facility also encompasses GPC Custom Clubs,  which is a high-end, award winning custom club fitting center for both our Adult & Junior Members as well as the public, a state of the art build shop that has exclusive accounts with Titleist, TaylorMade & Callaway, that are not available at Green Grass. 


Position Description:

GPC Academy is seeking one or more full time golf professionals to join our team.  This unique opportunity is for a golf professional who is looking to learn about developing junior golfers into collegiate athletes, biomechanics of the good swing, physical performance and nutrition, club fitting and club building and overall long term development of golfers of all ages.  The successful candidate(s) will have any opportunity to become a Certified GPC Academy Coach by completing a detailed and rigorous certification process. The day to day responsibilities include many traditional green grass operations such as member services, golf shop operations, outside operations, customer service, tournament operations and assisting the Lead Coaches with any and all program needs.


Job Qualifications:

+All candidates must be Class A members of the PGA or an Apprentice working towards membership

Director of Coaching


Academy Overview:

The Golf Performance Center is the Northeast’s leading golf academy for athletes of all ages and skill levels.  We offer a full time boarding school for grades 6-12, year round after school programs, and adult programming.  Our ultimate goal is to provide valued instruction, guidance, and support within a preeminent facility to holistically develop each athlete to better navigate the challenge of golf, school, and life.

The Golf Performance Center’s Main Campus, home to our full-time boarding school, is just a chip shot down the road from the golf facility.  This campus has grown to become a central gathering place with its Academic Center and team, two residence halls, a phenomenal dining room where our Chef creates and serves delicious meals, and a couple of recreation rooms, all situated on a bucolic New England style campus.

Position Overview:

The Admissions / Recruiting Director presents an exciting opportunity for an individual to identify and guide ambitious student athletes and adult golfers to The Golf Performance Center (GPC).

The individual will have a true passion for golf, as this role will regularly attend junior golf events and be speaking with families who have embraced the game of golf.


Key Responsibilities:

+ Develop and implement an admissions program that effectively models The GPC’s mission, values, and culture for all prospective students, families, and adults.

+ Manage all aspects of admissions including welcoming, touring, and interviewing; building a trusting relationship with prospective families.

+ Serve as the primary point of contact for all prospects

+ Create and implement a robust recruiting program and calendar:

+ Cultivate local community and golf industry relationships that will become a source of qualified prospects

+ Attend junior golf events, generating awareness of GPC

+ Lead events (ie. Open Houses and Tours) for prospective, current, and alumni students

+ Build a database of prospective student athletes

+ Track and regularly report on all recruiting efforts and pipeline status … ensure each prospect is properly moving through the pipeline, from initial contact to closing.


Collaborate with:

+ The Marketing team regarding effectiveness of various efforts in generating inquiries, pipelines, and active applicants.

+ Also, partner with the Marketing team to leverage family engagement initiatives, community events, and marketing tools to achieve admissions objectives.

+ The Academic and Golf coaches to assess the fit of each individual in the admissions process.

+ Oversee the daily functions of the Admissions Office including:

+ Answering phone calls and emails, making appointments, responding to requests for admission materials and applications

+ Build partnerships with international organizations, consultants, and schools as we pursue our SEVP (Student Exchange & Visitor Program) Certification.


Leadership and personal qualities:

+ Connection:  A leader with the knowledge, ingenuity, fortitude, passion, and decisiveness necessary to genuinely connect and build trust with students ages 9-18, their parents/guardians, and older adults;

+ Organization: Manages assignments with excellent organization, delivery, creativity, planning, and attention to detail.  Outstanding project management skills and the ability to multi-task and consistently meet deadlines;

+ Collaboration:  A strong understanding of the relationships between the marketing, golf, academic, administrative, and leadership functions.  The desire and ability to work collaboratively, to innovate, and be part of a team.

+ Love Golf!  A genuine love of the game of golf and appreciation of the monetary, physical, mental and time commitments required to excel and commitment to The Golf Performance Center’s mission and philosophy.

+ Communication:  Excellent social, written and oral communication skills; Comfort and experience presenting in front of small and large groups.


Professional qualifications:

+ A Bachelor’s degree, at minimum.

+ Three or more years of experience, preferably in an admissions / recruiting role, that reflects a track record of successfully recruiting students and their families to join private elementary, middle, and high schools.

+ Exceptional writing, editing, and oral communication skills and demonstrated skill in communicating and engaging effectively with a wide range of constituencies.

+ Willingness to travel on some weekends to attend junior golf events.


Compensation and benefits:

This is a full-time, twelve-month exempt position and reports to the Marketing Department. The salary for this position will be commensurate with experience.  A motivating commission structure will provide a significant upside opportunity.  The Golf Performance Center is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
