Those of you who know me, know I’m a Masters nut. Not just “a little”, not “Oh yea, The Masters is cool, I’ll be watching.” I (like many of you) look forward to this week, it’s traditions, and everything it has to offer for an entire year, and when it finally arrives, I’ve been known to go a little overboard in my preparations for the tournament and the excitement it brings me. I took that excitement to pen and paper a few years back and thought I’d share a story that is timeless and centered around another favorite holiday filled with tradition. Read this with inflection, with passion, and please feel free to add this to your Masters Eve tradition for years to come. Enjoy the weekend at The Masters everyone!
Twas the night before The Masters and all through the house, not a creature was stirring not even a mouse. The tee times were set by the committee with care to make sure the patrons would surely be there. The morning dew wait, and the field lay asleep, as the first tee in round 1 will pose the toughest of feats. Now Rory! Now Rosey! Now Bryson, JT! Now DJ, now Jordan, birdie holes 2 and 13! An exciting round it will be, with excitement galore, I can only imagine what’s to come in rounds 2, 3, and 4! Jim Nantz will greet us with azaleas in bloom, “Hello Friends” he says, this week never comes too soon. As you tune in tomorrow, please don’t lose sight, this truly is a “tradition unlike any other”, and to all a good night!
